Daydream Believer - the Monkees
Bahh I reblogged another music video of theirs like one week ago or so, when I went home next I was planning on finding my old Monkees album. The fact that Davey Jones’ recently died is kind of a shock in this retrospect.
I didn’t know too many of their regular songs, I just had some cassettes and one CD that I got when I was pretty small. My sister was 8 years older than me and loved watching their sitcom, and so did I. It was like the only thing we bonded over, I was probably 6 or so when it was still airing on nick at nite.
They were kinda my first music influence that had a face for me. They were most definitely my first boy band. In 4th grade when asked to do a music project for the first time over a band I liked I picked them x]
I can’t remember my fav. song anymore, it’s been a long time. But I do like this one of course.
Hmm. . y’kno I bet we still have that old VHS of their sitcom we recorded. It was full to the brim with good episodes. I’ll definitely have to watch it with my mom & sister the next time I’m home
